Hawk Named a Leading Vendor in the 2026 Liminal Index™ for AML Transaction Monitoring in Banking

Hawk named a Leader in the 2026 Liminal Index for AML Transaction Monitoring

Hawk has been recognized as a Leading Vendor in the 2026 Liminal Index for AML Transaction Monitoring in Banking. Liminal evaluated 85 vendors across product and strategy criteria and named 20 as leaders.

In the new report, Hawk achieved a strategy score of 84%, the joint-highest in the index, and was also rated Exceptional in both product and market presence.

The Liminal Index rates vendors on their product capabilities and ability to match the buying priorities of financial crime and compliance teams. It draws on Liminal's Financial Crimes Compliance Buyer Demand Survey of 100 practitioners, conducted in March 2026.

Hawk was rated Exceptional, the top-scoring band, on several criteria. Exceptional product capabilities included Detection Accuracy & Alert Quality, Entity Resolution & Network Analysis, Investigation & Case Management, Compliance Alignment & Audit Controls, and Buyer Satisfaction.

Hawk's strategic strengths were noted in Global Coverage & Regulatory Strategy, Product Integration & Ecosystem, and User Experience.

In its expert note, Liminal pointed to Hawk's real-time processing at high throughput, no-code rule configuration with sandbox testing, and integrated case management and SAR/CTR filing.

The report also underlined Hawk's deployment flexibility, highlighting the AML AI Overlay. Hawk's "ability to overlay AI onto existing systems, combined with its focus on explainability and rapid configurability, positions it as a strong option for institutions prioritizing incremental modernization and efficiency gains in AML transaction monitoring."

Tobias Schweiger, CEO and Co-Founder of Hawk, said, "The priorities for anti-money laundering programs are clear in this report: financial institutions want to cut false positives, reduce manual effort on alerts, and increase their ability to detect new typologies. Hawk was established to meet those very pain points. Holding the top strategy score across 85 vendors tells us that banks and analysts see the market heading where we're already going: real-time, AI-supported, and regulator-ready."

Travis Jarae, Co-Founder & CEO at Liminal, said, "AML buyers tell us explainability is now a deciding factor, alongside detection that keeps pace with real-time payments and fits into existing systems. Hawk has built its approach around explainable AI and real-time detection, and its placement in the Index reflects a company strongly aligned with what practitioners need today and where the market is heading."
